New Pledge Coming Soon!

Our Fledging Birders movement has been crazy for the past year with a lot of interesting developments and exciting activities. Unfortunately, this has distracted me from the blogosphere.

A new "Pledge to Fledge" campaign is coming VERY SOON!

Pledge to Fledge (P2F)

A "Pledge to Fledge" is a personal commitment to share your excitement and passion for birds with other people on a daily basis. Through frequent exposure to bird-related concepts, the natural curiosity of people will begin to grow.

Before you know it, your "birding seeds" start to germinate. A coworker may ask about a brown and red bird in his backyard. Your boss might tell you about the neighborhood hawk. A regular customer may share a recent close encounter with a cardinal. This means your pledge is starting to pay off. Take the time to stoke their enthusiasm!

The goal of my pledge is to drop 10,000 separate "birding seeds" by the end of this school year. As a teacher, most (but not all!) of my P2F postings will likely involve students and colleagues however no one is exempt from talking about birds when I'm around them = )
